I feel so lucky that I got to meet Emil and his host family!  Emil is part of the Fresh Air Fund and has been coming up from the Bronx to stay with his host family for the past 3 years.  The boys have become fast friends - brothers from different mothers!  It was so fun playing in the park with them - I'm so glad programs like this are around!!  To find out more about how you can become part of this great organization - check out http://www.freshair.org.  The Fresh Air Fund is an independent, not-for-profit agency that has provided free summer vacations to more than 1.8 million New York City children from low-income communities since 1877. Each summer, close to 4,000 children visit volunteer host families in rural, suburban and small town communities across 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada.
